Last week, on 25 April 2025, the Faculty of Management and Social Communication at the Jagiellonian University hosted a unique event – University Living Labs: From Ideas to Reality.

Together, we discussed how best to build a network of cooperation around university living labs in order to respond even better to socio-economic challenges and strengthen the role of universities as active participants in social and innovative life.
Participants included representatives from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, MOLEcoLAB, CTTP40, DT HUB UEW and Science Hub UŁ.
Representatives of our Team – Magdalena Bień and Sandra Skalmierska, talked about the basic assumptions of the urban lab and about the experiences from our pilot projects. They shared practices and lessons learned, which we hope will also inspire living labs across Poland. We believe that it is in the exchange of knowledge and good practices that the potential to create innovative and viable solutions lies.

It was a day full of inspiration, sharing experiences and building partnerships.
Thank you to the organisers – Campus Living Lab – for inviting us!
