The Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, in cooperation with the Institute for Urban and Regional Development, invites you to participate in the pilot project “Urban Lab – City for Young People” for the period 2024-2029.
We are launching a call for applications for a pilot project to test the Urban Lab instrument aimed at young citizens through its implementation in selected Polish cities.
The main objectives of the project are to create conditions conducive to the active participation of young people in social and civic life and to improve their quality of life in cities. The activation of young inhabitants will take place through the provision of appropriate tools, educational activities, as well as support for social initiatives, the creation of innovative solutions and smart ideas that will influence cities as liveable spaces. Through these activities, the project aims to contribute to involving young people in the co-management of the city, improving their safety and psycho-physical health, shaping civic attitudes, increasing their sense of agency and increasing the visibility of young people in the public debate.
As a result of the analysis of indicators depicting the situation of young people over the last decade, we selected cities characterised by the largest development gap in this sphere and to which this pilot is addressed. Eligible applicants include Szczecin, Lublin, Bydgoszcz, Rzeszów, Opole, Zielona Góra, Toruń, Kielce and Białystok.
Application attachments are available on the website of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.
Project fiches can be submitted until 13 June 2024.
The action is financed by the European Funds Technical Assistance 2021-2027 programme.
