Urban Lab Lublin

We present the first of eight cities that submitted a design fiche and then a full adaptation of the concept, making it eligible for the “Urban Lab – Cities for the Young” project – Urban Lab Lublin. The opening of the space took place on February 13, 2025.

Lublin was the first city in Poland to receive the title of European Youth Capital. It is not resting on its laurels and is definitely betting on the young! The project is creating a space for learning, dialogue and action, thanks to which the city’s young residents will gain a real impact on its future. Civic education, participation, social innovation and intersectoral cooperation – these are the key pillars of activities that will make Lublin an even more friendly place to live, study and develop.

What exactly will be happening in Lublin?

💡 Urban Cafe – a space for open dialogue, where young people will be able to meet with city authorities and work together on solutions to the most important challenges.
📚 City Academy – a practical school of civic education through which young people will gain knowledge and skills for active participation in community life.
💡 Citizen Lublin – an initiative that gives young people real tools to co-determine their city.
🚀 Lublin Inspires the Future – a program that supports young people in gaining competencies and work experience to better prepare for the future.
🎓 Academic City – efforts to build a stronger academic ecosystem in which students and universities actively cooperate with the city and business.
🌍 LUBLinn – an innovative approach to solving social problems and improving the quality of life in Lublin.

The Office of Youth Policy of the Lublin City Hall is responsible for the activities at Urban Lab Lublin.
